Privacy policy
What stays with your business. What connects. What we collect.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Anywhoo Labs LLC operates the anycloud website. This policy describes the current marketing website and distinguishes it from the workspace you run on your own machine. Contact us at [email protected]. Your business is responsible for its own customer-facing apps and their privacy notices.
2. Visiting this website
We do not use advertising trackers. With your permission, we use self-hosted PostHog on infrastructure operated by Anywhoo Labs LLC to measure page visits and selected purchase, booking, and questionnaire clicks. We send the page path (without query strings), a broad referral category, device size category, time, and a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser. When you are signed in, these events use your account identifier instead. We do not record your screen, automatically capture form entries, or send license keys or your IP address to PostHog. Browsing analytics are off until you allow them. You can decline or withdraw permission using “Analytics preferences” in the footer; we also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. If you sign in, we set a session cookie and, during sign-in, a short-lived security cookie; both are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and protect your account. The session lasts until you sign out (your browser keeps the cookie for up to 400 days and it is renewed when you open your account page). Our web server and network providers may process technical request data such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, timestamps, and error records to deliver and protect the site.
3. Your account and purchases
When you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, whether Google has verified that address, your profile picture, and your Google account identifier with us. We keep these on your account and update them each time you sign in. For each signed-in session we also store the IP address and browser description it was created from until you sign out, to protect your account and limit abuse. We do not keep Google’s access tokens and do not use your Google account for anything other than signing in. When you sign in to your hosted anycloud cloud with “Sign in with anycloud”, we send that cloud your anycloud account identifier, name, email address, its verification status, and profile picture; nothing about your purchases is included. When you buy a license, Stripe processes your payment details; we receive your Stripe customer identifier, subscription and invoice payment status, renewal date, and the subscription’s recurring amount, add-ons and discount, never your card number. For a hosted subscription, the signed plan document we send to your hosted cloud includes that recurring amount, renewal date, add-ons and discount, so its Plan & billing page can show them to your workspace; it never includes your card or Stripe identifiers. We keep your licenses, the boxes they are activated on, and a record of account actions such as revealing or replacing a license key. After purchase, you can optionally tell us your business name, industry, team size, intended use, setup stage, feedback, and interest in a setup call. With the separate permission you give on that form, we store your answers, account identifier, name, and email in our self-hosted PostHog to understand customer needs and provide setup help. An encrypted delivery copy is kept in the license server until PostHog accepts it, then removed; a submission receipt remains. Completing the questionnaire is not required to use your license or book a call.
4. License checks and status reports from your box
During setup and about every six hours afterwards, your anycloud box sends its license key, an installation identifier, and its software version to our server, which also receives the box’s IP address. We use this to confirm the license, keep it to one box, show the last check-in on your account page, and prevent abuse. These checks do not include your apps, business data, files, or customer records.
Boxes running the current anycloud software also send a signed status report every few minutes (every minute for hosted cells): software and component versions, installed release, node and pod health, CPU, memory and disk usage totals, and the short internal names and sizes of the workspaces and projects on the box. We use these reports to deliver updates and operator commands, monitor health and capacity, and support you, and keep them for 30 days. They contain no app content, business data, files, or customer records. For anycloud hosted, we send your account’s name and email address to the hosting cell that runs your cloud so you can sign in there.
5. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you include. We use that information to respond, investigate issues, and keep relevant correspondence. Our email service processes those messages. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, or unnecessary customer records. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations. If you choose to book a demo or setup call, the link opens Calendly. Calendly processes the information you enter there under its own privacy policy. Selecting interest in a call on our questionnaire does not book an appointment. If you join the anycloud hosted waitlist on our pricing page, we store only the email address you enter and when you joined. We use it only to tell you when hosted plans open, and delete it when you ask us to.
6. Data in your local workspace
Your apps, business data, files, and access controls have a home on your machine. That is separate from data you provide directly to Anywhoo Labs LLC. Your business decides which information its apps collect, who can access it, and how long to retain it. Running locally does not by itself satisfy every privacy or security obligation.
With anycloud hosted, that workspace runs on our hosting cell in the United States instead, and your business still decides what its apps collect. The cell keeps nightly backups on the same server, by default one a day for 7 days and one a week for 4 weeks, so data you delete, or a workspace deleted after its subscription ends, can remain in those copies until those backups age out. Sign-ins to your hosted cloud end after 30 days without use and at the latest 90 days after you sign in.
7. External services you choose
Approved AI providers process selected model context when helping build your apps. Cloudflare carries remote web traffic. Other integrations, including payment processing and optional email, handle information according to their functions and policies. Those providers may process information outside your country. Review each connected service’s terms, privacy settings, and retention rules before sending business or customer information.
8. Why information is used
Website request data and correspondence are used to deliver the website, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Account, purchase, and license-check data are used to provide and bill for your licenses and to enforce one box per license. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the applicable basis may be our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and answering inquiries, steps requested before a contract, or legal obligations. Optional browsing analytics and questionnaire processing rely on the separate permissions described above. We retain analytics and submitted feedback for as long as needed for these purposes; you may contact us to request deletion or withdraw permission for your submitted feedback.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. For information held by Anywhoo Labs LLC, write to [email protected]. We may need to verify a request. For data in an app operated by another business, contact that business. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
11. Security and children
No system can promise perfect security. Limit sensitive information in support messages and review access to your local workspace. anycloud is marketed to businesses, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
12. Updates to this policy
We will update this page when the website or our processing practices change. The date below the page heading shows when this policy was last updated.
